Provincial Nominee Programs (PNP) are available in most provinces in Canada. PNP applicants must have the intention to live in the Province that they apply for. Instead of submitting a Permanent Residency application directly to Canada Federal Government, PNP applicants would need to first get a “Nomination” from a provincial government. It is an alternate path to immigrate to Canada and in general the bar is lower than Federal programs. You may also consider the Start Up Visa (SUV) program that allows entrepreneurs to immigrate to Canada to establish a new business.
There are mainly two PNP streams, one is for skilled workers and the other one is for business applicants. Business PNP program provides an immigration path which is no longer offered by the Canada Federal government. However, only few provinces are still active with their Business PNP Programs.
